  • VENUE – Markham Pan Am Centre, Markham, Ontario, Canada

Eligible players

  • U19: Players who are under 19 years of age throughout the year 2017 (i.e. born on 1999 or younger) are allowed to play, BPAC require player’s passports to confirm the age and nationality.

Events

  • Mixed Team Events

Trophy & Medals

  • Winner – Gold Medal
  • Runner-up – Silver Medal
  • Losing Semi-finalists – Bronze Medal

Entry limits

  • Each Member association can enter the following number of players:
    • A minimum of 2 Boys and 2 Girls is mandatory.
    • A maximum of 10 Boys
    • A maximum of 10 Girls.

System

  • Sudirman Cup format
  • Take note to the following:
    • A player can play a maximum of two (2) events per TIE.
    • The order of play will be in accordance with the Sudirman cup regulations.

  • Entries for Team event must be submitted no later than: June 27th, 2017 at 23:59 hrs. BPAC HQ Canada.
  • The FORM 1, must be completed and returned with the list of players, Coaches and Delegates for TEAM Event, at the following e-mail: panambadminton@gmail.com /  events@badmintonpanam.org

Seeding Main Draw – 6th, July 2017 

Publish on BPAC web site – 7th, July 2017

Draw –  Thursday 20th, at the TEAM Managers meeting

Team Managers Meeting

  • Thursday 20th, July 2017 16:00 hrs.
  • Take note at the following information:
    • It is mandatory that all Team Managers must physically bring their participating player’s original passports to the technical meeting
    • According with Pan Am regulations, is mandatory that all participating TEAMS must arrive in Markham, at least 24:00 hours before the start of the Competition.

Conditions

  • The draw will be conducted under the BWF General Competition Regulations.

Entry Fee 

  • USD $ 200.00 per TEAM

Withdrawals

  • Last day for withdrawal 9th, July 2017

Visa

  • Important for all players who need visa for Canada: Please request immediately from Badminton Canada an official Invitation Letter and apply as soon as possible. (e-mail: badminton@badminton.ca)

Transportation

  • Badminton Ontario will offer transportation from the airport to the official Hotel, and the venue, only when booking reservations with the official Booking Form for the Official Hotels.

Uniforms

  • According BPAC regulations, for all tournaments the player’s name and the country on the back of the shirts is mandatory. (BWF GCR, referring player’s clothing, designs, advertising and lettering), please see the attached file BWF – GCR Part III – Uniforms
